Problem statement

Going to the bank to block a stolen card. When this happens, it takes a while to get to the bank which gives enough time for the card to be hacked.

Goal of the Project

The goal of the project is to create ease for the user to perform this action easily without worrying of being to late to block their Debit card and the stress free of doing it on their mobile app.

Design Process

The design Process used for this Project are Empathize ( User Research),Define, Ideate (low fidelity wireframe), Design (High Fidelity Wireframe), Prototype and Test.

Empathize

User Research User research is the means of gathering, collecting and analyzing data in order to generate design solutions. To empathize with the users, I conducted both Qualitative and Quantitative Research. I curated a survey with a total of 14 questions. The survey was shared among 18-50 age demography to get answers when it comes to using the Gtb Mobile banking app. 93.8% uses the the banking mobile app. When it comes to how often the mobile app is used, 65.6% of people use it frequently. We also asked the feature they would like to have on the mobile app and almost 80% of the users gave the response of having a Debit Card Block Icon. The Least feature they saw unnecessary on the Gtb Mobile app was the “Make money” feature.

New Feature Added

So the new feature added is the “Block Debit Card”. it gives you he opportunity and ease of either Suspending, Blocking Or Activating your Debit card if stolen. It is located at the Profile Section of the app, to perform the function, you will have to click the Debit card button.

Least Feature Removed

The "Make Money" Feature was removed. The Make money feature on Gtb mobile app already has the function that is already on the home screen of the app which is Transfer, Airtime/Data Request and Bills Payment. It is a repetition.
